The Filipino Latte
This drink brings you back to your childhood — the sweet, creamy, deeply comforting taste of Filipino-style coffee. Here's how to make it at home.
What You Need
- 15g Cafe de Lipa coffee (medium grind)
- 360ml hot water
- Condensed milk
- Fresh milk (whole or evaporated)
- Ice
Steps
- Brew your coffee using a French Press or pour-over (15g to 360ml)
- Drizzle condensed milk at the bottom of a tall glass
- Fill the glass with ice
- Pour the hot coffee over the ice
- Add fresh milk abundantly to your heart's desire
- Stir from the bottom up and enjoy!
Why It Works
The condensed milk settles at the bottom and slowly dissolves as you sip — each mouthful gets progressively sweeter, like a built-in dessert course.
Our Recommendation
Use our Baraco Blend for the most authentic Filipino Latte experience. The bold, woody Liberica flavors stand up beautifully to the sweetness of condensed milk.
This is comfort in a cup — perfect for lazy weekend mornings.
